Claude Chardon comes from Savoie and works as a downhill ski instructor since 1971. He lives in Courchevel, where he has made a career out of his passion for ski- a ‘beautiful ski resort’ as he is pleased to say.

This enthusiastic instructor has never considered leaving Courchevel, a ski resort he has a fondness for and in which he observed its developments with satisfaction. He especially noticed the arrival of international tourists, coming to taste the slopes of Les 3 Vallées and the quality teaching of the Ecole du Ski Français (ESF).

Claude, who started skiing at the age of four, won a few competitions as a child and adolescent. But above all else, his greatest wish was to become part of the large ESF family. He has now been teaching in Courchevel 1850 for 40 years with the same pleasure. His favourite ski run is Les Jockeys.

In order to better transmit his passion to the greatest number, Claude adapts his teaching to his learners and manages to make them improve smoothly and methodically. Observing his learners surpassing themselves and improving their skills with a smile is one of his greatest rewards.

In the summer, Claude works in the building trade. And when not on skis hitting the ski runs of Les 3 Vallées- which he finds spectacular- Claude remains in contact with nature, since he fishes and likes going for long walks in the mountains.
