With the winter season slowly approaching, are you planning a stay in Courchevel? Take the opportunity to discover "L'Art au sommet", one of the resort's major artistic events for nearly 15 years.

Gondolas adorned with reproductions of photographic or pictorial works, sculptures dominating the snowy slopes, guided tours: art invites itself into the heart of the mountains to the delight of young and old alike.

A must-see exhibition

Created in 2009, every year "L'Art au sommet" takes over the slopes and center of Courchevel, one of the most prestigious ski resorts in the Alps.

Over the years, locals and tourists alike have become attached to this traditional event, whose aim is to showcase artists from a variety of backgrounds in an atypical, majestic setting.

In addition to discovering the works for yourself during your stay, guided tours are also available. A walking tour to better understand the world of the guest artist and the cultural dimension of the exhibition.

Artists from diverse backgrounds

"L'Art au sommet" showcases the work of numerous French and international contemporary artists.

Since its inception, the event has welcomed some twenty painters, sculptors and photographers, including Robert Mars, Mel Ramos, Luciano Di Concetto, Roméo Britto, Richard Orlinski, Julien Marinetti and, last season, Lorenzo Quinn.

In launching this event, Couchevel town council has created a veritable open-air museum, to be admired from the top of a slope or while strolling through the resort's most emblematic sites.

Combine your passion for skiing with your interest in art

If a stay in the mountains is often synonymous with sport, fun and good cheese meals, this annual exhibition offers you a different experience by integrating art into your everyday life.

It's hard to escape the monumental sculptures awaiting you at the top of the mountains, or the new design of the gondolas that fly overhead every day.

When you visit Courchevel between December and April, you'll enjoy a magical bubble of your favorite activities (skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, tobogganing) and the world of art.

An unexpected way to combine your different hobbies! What's more, if you're traveling with your family, "L'Art au sommet" is a great way to introduce your children to art. So book your stay in Courchevel now!
