A lifelong resident of the valley, Jane teaches downhill skiing in the resort where she grew up. In Courchevel 1850, she is now pursuing a career that allows her to share her passion for the mountains with others of all ages who are keen to explore.
She first discovered skiing at the age of two. Very quickly, the thrill of gliding, the setting of the 3 Vallées and the freedom offered by the sport made her want to make a living from it. First through competition, then as an instructor with the esf. Her new role as an instructor now allows her to pass on and share the things that inspire her : the joy of skiing and human connection.
During her lessons, Jane always pays close attention to how her clients are feeling. Her aim? To build her pupils’ confidence, with patience and calm. When she sees them making progress, feeling proud of their achievements and satisfied with their lessons, she feels she has achieved her goal. With her, learning to ski is therefore a smooth and enjoyable experience, even for beginners.
Alongside her role as an instructor at esf Courchevel 1850, Jane also works in the field of data analysis. She believes her two professional activities complement each other : teaching and human interaction in winter, and reflection and structured work in summer. She also divides her free time between trail running, CrossFit, wakeboarding and travelling. Jane has even had the chance to ski in various countries, from Chile to Finland, and from Switzerland to Austria. A busy life indeed!
