Born in Chambéry, Julie knows Courchevel very well as her sister and several of her friends teach skiing there. So it was only natural that she chose the resort to live out her passion by working as a ski instructor!
Julie started skiing at the age of 2 and immediately fell in love with the sport, beginning to compete a few years later at the age of 5. She was ranked in the French Top 10 until U12 and then competed at national level in events such as the Coq d'Or, Coupe de la Fédération and Scara.
Julie joined the ESF to teach in an environment that embodies essential values such as competence, a sense of responsibility, respect for the environment, professionalism and, of course, sharing the joy of skiing with everyone. Kindness is at the heart of her teaching approach, enabling her to provide the best possible support to all her students during her alpine skiing lessons.
Alongside her work as an instructor, Julie is studying for a law degree in Lyon. She was also a cadet in the Savoie gendarmerie for a year and passed the selection process to become a reservist. An unusual and exciting career path for one of the resort's newest recruits! A keen traveller, she has had the opportunity to ski in Switzerland, Austria and Italy. Memories she can share with you during one of her lessons!
