"Whether in Courchevel or somewhere else, you will never get tired of the dreamy sceneries of a ski resort, and mountain pleasures."
Jean-Yves has been skiing for 41 years, always with the same passion. Ski and mountain lovers, he will share his passion with you.
Originally from Courchevel St Bon, Jean-Yves Pachod was very young when he first climbed on skis. At the age of 5, he runs down his first slopes and skiing quickly becomes his passion. A passion that has never left him. He entered the sports club at a very young age and competed on a regional and national level. Driven by his love for skiing and for the mountains, it is therefore natural that he decided to become a instructor.
As an ESF instructor, Jean-Yves likes to make his students discover different sites, while constantly looking for the best snow, in order to progress, but also to have fun. Passionate about adventure, he has traveled to many places to ski on new slopes. He has been skiing in several European countries but also practiced a lot of heliskiing in Canada, Greenland, Alaska, the Himalayas, enriching and fantastic journeys according to him.
Jean-Yves is proud to work for the ESF, a school which, according to him, promotes true values of skiing, but also experience and seriousness. He especially appreciates his job for open air and breathtaking landscapes.
Always looking for perfection and elegance, Jean-Yves works to teach his students the precise techniques of skiing, especially on his favorite slopes such as Jean Blanc or Mauduit. And when not on a ski slope, this instructor likes to watch them from above, since his other passion is helicopter flying, which he practices as much as he can. In summer, Jean-Yves loves swimming, golf and works in furniture rental, eagerly waiting for the snow to fall again.
