About

Originally from Aix-les Bains, Claude Silva started to hit the slopes from his earliest childhood. At four, he was already training on the Revard ski runs, close to his grandmother’s house in the Beaufortin. He immediately fell in love with the sensations of speed and freedom this sport conveys. He has now been passing on his passion for 28 years.

It was quite naturally for him to be part of the Ecole du Ski Français, a ski school whom professionalism, teaching method and expertise of the environment he admires.

Above all, what he likes is working in an exceptional landscape, right in the middle of snowy slopes. His love for mountains and his passion for snow sliding sports convinced him to become a ski instructor. Even though he spent five years in competition, he never stepped on a podium. However, this experience enabled him to become tenured.

Claude provides lessons for adults and children alike. He is also specialised in off-piste skiing. Careful to his learners’ needs, he adapts his teaching skills to each of them, so that they can improve in the best possible conditions… and so that he gets a smile in return!

His favourite pistes are La Combe du Pylône, the Creux Noirs off-piste area and the Trois Vallées skiing domain, pistes he can show you either in French or Italian.

Apart from the pistes, Claude is an artisan and mainly works as a construction painter, an occupation in which he likes being in contact with the customers and where he makes sure things are done properly. Claude is also passionate about motorbiking, and likes practicing his leisures with his family.

Claude already had the opportunity to hit New-Zealand’s ski runs in Cardrona, where he gave skiing lessons for two months. He also taught for fifteen winter seasons at Belle Plagne. To him, the most beautiful slopes in the world are La Vallée Blanche, the Vallons de la Meije, Bellevarde downhill, the Grands Montets  and the Monts de la Guerre.
